Here are some common questions about LiveBlox.
How can I build apps?
LiveBlox makes it simple to build your own software applications, by following a simple 4 step approach:
- Drop the Blox you want into the editor
- Connect them together
- Build your own Graphic User Interface (GUI)
- Export and run
Simple as that!
How can I share my apps?
The apps will be shared in The LiveBlox Marketplace (app store). If you make an app that you would like to share, then within LiveBlox you can export them straight to the marketplace. The marketplace will be a section on our website that you can also access from within LiveBlox.
What platforms does LiveBlox support?
LiveBlox currently supports Windows, Mac OSX and Linux Ubuntu. In the future we will also support Android and IOS.
How many Blox (elements) does LiveBlox have?
We currently have over 750 Blox and the number is increasing every week. The way LiveBlox is built allow us to add Blox as new technology emerges. In time LiveBlox will have a vast library of Blox.
Will LiveBlox support Spout and Syphon?
Yes we will! Currently Spout is supported, we are still testing it out and some people may experience some irregularities with the latest Windows updates. You will also be able to connect other video applications with LiveBlox.
Will you be able to code within LiveBlox?
Yes you will! LiveBlox will have Python integration at a later stage so you can code within LiveBlox.
Can I sell my apps?
The commercial license allows you to sell your apps. This will be done in The LiveBlox Marketplace (app store).
What is the difference between personal and commercial license?
Personal license, is valid only for your own use, cannot be used in a commercial setting, and is non-transferable. The personal license will allow you to share your apps but not sell them
The commercial license allows you to use LiveBlox in a commercial setting including as an organization, company or personally gain. This will also allow you to sell the applications you create through the LiveBlox marketplace.This license allows up to 5 end user machines. The commercial version also has Python scripting within it.
If I buy LiveBlox will it include updates?
Yes! If you buy LiveBlox you will receive updates for the first 12 months. We aim to have updates coming out regularly with new features and Blox.
What can you do with the Python Scripting in LiveBlox?
Python Scripting allows controlling and extending LiveBlox. By using Python code you can add new custom blocks and take control of pipelines, this give additional control to the user.
What is Computer Vision, and how can I use it in LiveBlox?
Computer Vision is the ability for a computer to “See” in a similar way to the human eye. LiveBlox has many blocks that are useful for this purpose, such as detecting only moving objects, tracking objects, finding contours in an image and many more.
The blocks can be chained together to create the required pipeline for the purpose intended. Whether that is counting traffic, detecting intruders, locating certain features in an image and more.
The output from the computer vision blocks can be used to trigger actions.
Are there any bugs in LiveBlox?
We are continuously improving LiveBlox and upgrades is coming regularly. We are trying our best to make it work smoothly and as bug-free as possible. Audio seems not to be working?
We know that someone can experience issues with Audio on Windows 10. We are currently working on the solution. It is a solution for now.
If you go into speakers and playback devices. Then select the speaker or device you are using and click properties. Under the tab advanced you select the default format to 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) and start LiveBlox again. Then audio should work fine. We do apologize for the inconvenience.
